FARGO — Between a rising cost of living and inflation, many people are stretching to make ends meet. Bring the pay gap into the picture, and women may have a harder time balancing their budgets than men.

A recent study by Eldessouky Law — an employment law firm — ranked North Dakota eighth in the country for pay gaps between men and women.

Overall, women in North Dakota are making $48,084 each year while men are making $62,192 on average, the report said.

Broken down, this means that for every dollar a North Dakota man earns, women earn $0.77, the report states.
