YWCA opens newly remodeled homes for women getting a new start

“There has been lots of talk about the homeless in our community recently,” CEO Erin Prochnow said, “but if we aren’t talking about housing, we are having the wrong conversation.”

FARGO — Volunteers at the YWCA spent a blistering Tuesday afternoon putting the finishing touches on the newly remodeled Cove Lane at 3014 12th St S.

Families began moving into these 12 units of supportive housing Wednesday, CEO Erin Prochnow said as people of all ages bustled about.

It was all hands on deck as people worked to make the soon-to-be occupants feel at home.
