New record set for Giving Hearts Day, with donations surpassing $29 million

FARGO — The community turned out with hearts on their sleeves for the 2024 Giving Hearts Day event on Thursday, Feb. 8, with donations surpassing an all-time high while still climbing.
The giving campaign raised over $29 million, breaking the previous record of $26.2 million from 2022. Final numbers are anticipated to be released after midnight.
Over 600 nonprofits throughout the region will benefit from the annual outpouring of generosity, as will the people, animals and causes they serve.
