Donations
There are countless ways you can make a donation to the YWCA. Donations can take the form of food, clothing, hygiene items, furniture, and monetary gifts. Each service provided by the YWCA is always in need of time and items so you can choose where you would like your donation to go. Not only will you be helping the wonderful staff working at the YWCA when you make donations to the YWCA, you will also be helping the women who utilize the different services at the YWCA. Even the smallest donations can make a tremendous difference in someone's life. For questions or more information call (701) 232-2547. Donations can be made at the following locations:
Qualified Charitable Distributions from IRAs A recent law change offers tax savings to taxpayers age 70 1/2 or older who have one or more traditional IRAs and a desire to make charitable contributions. The new provision, currently scheduled to be effective only for 2006 and 2007, allows taxpayers to make charitable contributions directly from their IRAs for up to $100,000 for each year. These direct charitable distributions, which can take the place of otherwise required minimum distributions are tax free to the IRA owner. If you'd like to know more about this new provision for either yourself or a family member, please contact your financial advisor.
